Discuss the intended room use
We begin with a consultation about homeowner goals, business needs, access, storage, and project requirements.
We plan garage conversions around the existing structure, new living needs, and finish choices. We’re a licensed and insured general contractor serving Sammamish and Snoqualmie.
A converted garage gives unused floor area a defined purpose, such as living, work, storage, or business use.
Planned insulation, flooring, lighting, and finishes help the room feel suited to its new use.
A design-build plan connects layout choices with construction requirements before work begins.

A garage conversion starts with the intended use of the space. A home office, guest area, family room, and commercial workspace each need different layouts and finish choices. We review the existing garage, then plan the work around walls, flooring, insulation, electrical needs, plumbing, and access. The project scope also reflects the customer’s budget, style, and goals. Our preference is to settle room use and storage early. Those choices affect outlet placement, lighting, floor finishes, and the amount of work needed before construction begins.
Garage conversions are building projects that change a garage into planned living, work, storage, or business space.
These details help us understand the space and shape a useful first consultation.
We begin with a consultation about homeowner goals, business needs, access, storage, and project requirements.
We examine the current layout and identify the construction work tied to flooring, insulation, electrical needs, plumbing, and finishes.
We define the work and terms in writing, then explain how requested finish materials affect the planned scope.
When requested, we help select flooring, wall finishes, fixtures, and other materials that fit the intended room.
We coordinate design and construction, keep direct communication open, and track the agreed work through completion.
We use the consultation to record intended room use, access needs, storage goals, and construction requirements.
We give customers written scope and terms covering the planned layout, building work, finish selections, and project requirements.
We guide requested choices for flooring, wall finishes, lighting, fixtures, and other materials used in the converted space.
Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.
Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.
Linda and her team did an excellent job! We would highly recommend them. We hired her for a kitchen remodel and asked for a very tight timeline. She delivered and we absolutely love the result. She was very commutative and available to us. Thank you Design and Build NW!
Turn an underused garage into space planned for your home or business. Request your quote after we discuss the layout, intended use, and finish needs.
An underused garage may offer room for a home office, guest area, or family space. The key choices include access, storage, insulation, flooring, and electrical layout. We start by discussing how the room should function, then review the existing garage and define the work needed for that use.
A business may need to change a garage into customer, office, or work space. The layout must fit existing operations and reduce disruption during construction. We review the current arrangement, discuss business requirements, and set a written scope before finish choices and building work move ahead.
Customers sometimes know the room they want but feel unsure about flooring, walls, lighting, or storage. Those choices affect the work plan and the final feel of the space. During a consultation, we connect finish preferences to the layout and construction requirements, then explain the next steps.
